US Airways wings being sued for the loss of ashes.
2 years ago on a flight from Philadelphia to England, US Airways wings staff lost the remains of Angeline O’Grady’s husband. Her bag was found, but the remains disappeared.
Angeline said that no matter what she did she never got an adequate reply from US Airways wings. So she hired a lawyer, and when he couldn’t get information out of them they have sued the company.
Public news revealed that US Airways wings ignored the request for investigation, for that particular flight, which happened in 2011.
So now they are being sued for $200,000, and additional costs for mental distress and damages. The company stated that the loss of the remains wasn’t their fault, and they will defend themselves in the court.
Angeline’s lawyer said that the item they’ve lost cannot be replaced and he added that her client is incredibly distressed – she were heading for the Brian O’Grady’s ceremony, where his ashes should have been scattered. All the relatives were waiting for her and the ceremony couldn’t have been completed, because ashes were missing.
So they are seeking the justice for the deceased.
And they hope US Airways wings company will be held accountable and responsible for this terrible misdeed.
